Veterinary endoscopy

Endoscopy allows internal body cavities —digestive tract, respiratory tract, nose, ears or others— to be explored through a camera introduced via natural openings or minimal incisions. In many cases it allows diagnosis and even treatment without the need for open surgery.

When it can help

Indicated in situations such as chronic vomiting or diarrhoea with no clear explanation, suspected foreign body in the digestive tract, persistent cough, sneezing or nosebleeds, difficulty swallowing, oesophagitis, gastritis, chronic colitis, exploration of the upper and lower airways, and the collection of samples for histopathological diagnosis.
